Abstract
In this paper deals with psychological impact of the social media use for the young students in Madurai District, the population for the present study was taken only from five colleges. The prime focus of the study has been on awareness, frequency, impact and purpose of using social media and its utilization as a resource of information. Also, an attempt has been made to know the awareness of issues in using social media. The researcher designed a structured questionnaire based on the review of literature and the objectives of the study. Hence the questionnaire was prepared in simple English language.
